Susan Watkins is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in Children and Adolescent Therapy, Individual Therapy, Couples Counseling, and Family Therapy and has had a private practice in Temecula and Murrieta and has served the surrounding areas for the past 12 years.
Susan is a graduate of the University of San Diego earning a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2001. Susan trained at Rady’s Children’s Hospital in San Diego as an Intern Psychiatric Social Worker at the Children’s Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic in Rancho Bernardo, CA from 2000 to 2001.
Susan is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. Susan also looks for and treats the underlying reasons for the dysfunction so the problem doesn’t continue to create havoc in the client’s life. Susan integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

Her areas of expertise include working with children and adolescents on issues related to academics, behavior, and communication. Susan works with people struggling with stress management, phase of life difficulties and mental disorders. She also practices couples and family counseling on a wide variety of issues. Susan has a passion for working with trauma survivors and people struggling with PTSD.
